How God Works in the Little Things

Christianity is one of the most practiced religions in the world. As a Christian, it is important to keep reading the Bible and motivational stories to strengthen your faith and prevent you from straying into wrong. As Christians, we are supposed to glorify God in every little thing we do and see. God is transcendent. He is beyond human understanding. However, God works in mysterious ways to those who believe in him. You can know God exists in the little things you see around you. For example, you may receive a call of some big news even when you are seated watching a show on the television while crunching some snacks. Therefore, learn to know how God works through the little things you experience and see in your daily life.

Some people pray to God, hoping that something huge will happen in their lives. You are supposed to thank God for the little things he has done for you. Take a couple of minutes daily to thank God for those great moments you had, for waking up in the morning, for the good weather and beautiful day. Apart from being a deliverer, a mighty God, a miracle worker, God is also of the little things such as peaceful afternoons, quiet moments, and subtle beauty. God manifests himself in all things, both the big and the little things. However, many people do not recognize how God works in the little things. Jesus, the son of God, brings big results out of small things because he never changes. Jesus is always the same yesterday, today, and forever.

In the Bible, there are numerous ways that God made a big impact out of small things. In the Bible, Jesus compared faith with a mustard seed. The mustard may seem tiny and minute, but it grows to a huge tree. Jesus said if you have faith the size of a mustard seed you can move mountains. When Jesus was preaching to the five thousand men, there reached a time the crowd got hungry. The disciples wondered how it could be possible to feed such a huge crowd. But Jesus had faith. He turned five loaves of bread and two fish into food that feed about five thousand men and their families. The food was excess to the point that after everyone had eaten, the leftovers filled twelve bags.

The story of David and Goliath also proves that God works in the little things. Goliath was a giant. David was small and the youngest of his brothers. However, David managed to defeat Goliath with just a slung and a small rock. God used David, a small boy, to make a great impact. Even his brother had no faith in him. They overlooked him in every way, but God uplifted him to be the King of Israel. David is considered the greatest king of Israel. God also shows how he works in small ways in the story of Gideon and the three hundred soldiers. Gideon and his soldiers were not a match for the Midianites, but with God’s help, Gideon overcame the Midianites.
